Mary Margaret O'Hara: Hammersmith Odeon, London

Dele Fadele, New Musical Express, 18 July 1992

THE NIGHT is only three songs old when a lone, drunken heckler decides he's had enough. "Stop singing, Margaret," he admonishes. "You'd better stop that or I'll erupt," she replies, not specifying whether it will be into a volcano of tears or anger. She refuses to sing the next song and the well-heeled band make do with an instrumental cut with pedal steel sighs. Welcome to a decidedly odd but electrifying experience.
