IT WAS PAST five in the afternoon but Mary Wells was still fast asleep, recovering from the rigours of her whistle stop British tour and promotion work on her "revived 45" hit 'My Guy'. So, I spoke to her husband Cecil instead, not that I minded too much because he's quite a celebrity in his own right.
