OVER THE last year or so Merry Clayton has graduated in status to the almost royal ranks of the fashionable clique of international sessioneers. Her presence really being felt on the Stones' Let It Bleed album, during which she had a right old vocal tear-up with Mick on 'Gimme Shelter'.
