WE DON'T want to know about Michael Nyman, they said. We want to hear about genuinely talented people like Kylie Minogue and the Godfathers. Well alright, Nyman's relationship with "real" pop may be tangential to say the least, but stop whining. This record is so outrageously, criminally brilliant that for three quarters of an hour I didn't give a monkey's if I never heard another drum machine.
