NOT KNOWING what's coming can work both ways. In keeping with Manchester International Festival's remit of unveiling original and provocative new work, Neneh Cherry and London duo RocketNumberNine chose the occasion to premiere their forthcoming album in its entirety. A bold move, given that Cherry's young collaborators are still relatively unknown outside clubland, though their profile was given a healthy shunt when they opened for Radiohead in New York two years ago.
