New Oasis, No Danger

Paul Lester, Daily Telegraph, 5 February 2000

"I'M NOT INTO CHAOS," says Noel Gallagher, who along with his brother Liam has always appeared to be one of the last true standard bearers of rock'n'roll disorder. "I used to be, but not anymore." The birth 10 days ago of his baby daughter Anais (7lb 6 oz in case you were wondering) came shortly after this shock announcement. He described the birth as "the best thing ever" and said that being a dad might "bring out my feminine side". Which, of course, helps raise the question: can you still be a doyen of debauchery when you're elbow-deep in nappies?
