MANY ROCK STARS would recoil at the notion of playing an end-of the-pier ballroom in a shabby South Coast retirement town, but Nick Cave appeared comfortable amidst the low-rent glamour of Hastings on Wednesday. Indeed, as a long-term resident of nearby Brighton, the veteran Australian singer-songwriter was practically playing on his home turf.
