THE BIG-LUNGED Hackney soul siren is tremendous fun, a deeply entertaining live performer and raconteur, and her burlesque-inspired raids on the dressing-up box frequently yield memorable results. It's a shame that her music is frequently so generic, so-so and forgettable.
