Pavement: Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain

THERE WAS MUCH wailing and rending of hair throughout the land at the news that Pavement had parted ways with their crazed 40-something drummer Gary Young. This man had become a legend in his own lunchtime session, and not just for his random approach to rhythm, or for making cinnamon toast for the audience, or even for leaving his kit without warning in mid-song to execute perfect handstands; though all of this certainly helped.
