PIGBAG surprised everybody, not least themselves, by climbing into the American charts and subsequently the British ones in 1981 with 'Papa's Got A Brand New Pigbag' — a ragged and exuberant celebration of the American funk style, rendered with unexpected erudition and humour by a group of students from Bristol.
