Sandy Denny: Lady Mitchell College, Cambridge

Rosalind Russell, Disc, 14 October 1972

THERE APPEARS to be an army of green men all over Cambridgeshire. I thought it odd, at first, that every pub in the county should decide to call itself the Green Man, or Green King, but on reflection and closer observation, I noticed that there was generally another name beneath the first, so it occurs to me that this must be a brewery or some such establishment. However, whether it be the presence of the green men, or whether the provinces are just kindlier places than London, Sandy Denny's truly solo concert at the Lady Mitchell College in Cambridge was a success.
