Jon Savage is one of the arch voices of our time, a blithe spirit with a vicious tongue and a wicked pen: dedicated, deadly and dandy. He left university in 1975 (where he studied Classics) to start a fanzine called London's Outrage in 1976. He has since worked for Melody Maker, Sounds, The Face and more recently Monitor and Touch. He has worked for both Granada and TVAM as a researcher, has written a book about The Kinks, is preparing a couple on the Sex Pistols and is a qualified lawyer.
