Scalped: Why you can't get good concert seats

WHEN RHONDA Stofko and June Iacovello entered the New Rochelle Mall, in the suburbs of New York, at 7:30 one morning in August to purchase tickets for a Rod Stewart concert, they fully expected to have a shot at getting some good seats, perhaps even in the front row. After all, they had heard on the radio that tickets were not going on sale until 9:00 a.m., and they say they were the first in line outside the local Ticketmaster outlet.
