ON AUGUST 5th, 1975, Stevie Wonder signed an historic contract with Motown. Apart from the little matter of a $13 million guarantee, the deal reputedly gave him carte blanche to do what he wanted when he wanted, providing he delivered seven albums within the seven years following the date of contract.
