Stevie Wonder: Selections From The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack: The Woman In Red (Motown)

J.D. Considine, Musician, January 1985

THE NEW Stevie Wonder album has this problem: It thinks it's a soundtrack. It doesn't get violent about it, true. In fact, except for the title song, you really wouldn't know that it's supposed to be movie music. Sounds a lot like a Stevie Wonder album, actually; but, of course, Stevie Wonder albums don't need throw-away songs, which is why it's unfortunate this particular record thinks it's a soundtrack.
