Suicide Commits Itself

EVERY NOW and then, we critics drop our objectivity – believe it or not – become emotionally involved with a band. For slightly over a year, I served as self-dubbed "Minister of Information" for Red Star Records, In retrospect a task not unlike that of the current Soviet commissar of Ice hockey. In other words, it was my job to get Suicide written about and their debut album played on the nation’s airwaves.
