THE LAST TIME American drone lords Sunn O))) and Norwegian lycanthropes Ulver came together in the studio was in 2003 for 'CutWOODED' on the cowled duo's White 1 album. Produced by Ulver as a tribute to the memory of Ed Wood Jr, the Hollywood director responsible for the likes of Plan 9 From Outer Space, Glen Or Glenda and other extraordinary outsider movies, the track forged a bond between the two groups that has held firm ever since.
