THE CHOCOLATE-smothered Rice Krispies cup cake lay half-eaten on the plate, neglected after the first bite. Tanya, it seemed, was not in the best of moods. She'd been in the country a mere 24 hours and already her voice was cracking up, a sore throat exacerbated by a niggling cough.
