A BLACK WOMAN based in Yorkshire, singer-songwriter Tasmin Archer might be seen as a figure on the margins in almost every sense. Add to that the fact that music she makes is distinctly out of step with the techno-led dance explosion and her recent rise to prominence seems all the more inexplicable.
