SUDDENLY, OUT of the depths of complete obscurity the Teardrop Explodes have become the most talked about new band in the North West. Two weeks prior to this gig the band made a (by all accounts) startling TV appearance on Granada's What's On programme and the hip chins have been wagging ever since.
