The Congos

Hugh Jarse, ZigZag, November 1981

CONGO MAN Cedric Myton must be one of reggae's nicest geezers. Ask him a question and he thinks about it, smiles a bit, answers articulately and, if he thinks he ain't said enough strains and quizzes his brain for more insight. In love with the wife at his side, Yvonne, Cedric is a happy man. Not the least because, thanks to The Beat, he is about to get some of the recognition he deserves in this country.
