The Eagles: The Long Run (Asylum)
Nick Kent, New Musical Express, 29 September 1979
THE DOMINANT rumour being touted around The Eagles' camp to explain the three year gap between Hotel California and The Long Run was, I recall, that this project was to be a double album. Well, finally it's out — replete with a ridiculous, funereal black cover (upon which, apparently, it was planned at some stage to emboss a silver eagle, a concept that was scuppered leaving this absurdly unimpressive design that must've taken all of two minutes from initial idea to mock-up).
