THERE ARE FEW figures in the history of popular music who have been eulogised or mythologised as much as Gram Parsons. It's to be expected of big stars like Jimi Hendrix or Jim Morrison, men whose work was already lauded during their lifetimes, but Gram was never what you would call a household name. Rather, he was a well-kept secret, regarded highly by his peers and music biz insiders, while being all but ignored by the public at large.
