WITH ITS predecessor Low Budget having finally catapulted The Kinks into the American Top Ten after what seems a lifetime of cult status, what could be more fitting than four sides of Ray and his bulldog breed mixing the old with the new in concert to cement the old megaplatinum standing once and for all? But despite the stupefying obviousness of its intentions, Road is yet another frustratingly uneven Kinks record.
