JAMAICAN SINGERS have yet to follow up their undoubted success in Britain with a similar impact in the States but neverthelless reggae is making a steadily growing if insiduous mark on the American scene, even if it is through its influence on American artists from Johnny Nash and Paul Simon onwards.
