DOES IT SIGNAL the beginning of the end when an artist casts around for inspiration and can think of nothing to write about other than their own post-fame fallout? It's certainly a view that gets floated from time to time, especially with regard to your street-smart wordsmith. Barely an Arctic Monkeys interview goes by without Alex Turner being invited to ponder whether success will deprive him of his common touch. This hang-up about keeping it real, though — it's something that rears its head only in pop.
