A YEAR AND a half ago, the Trammps were a band of promise. They were also a lot of fun. Presided over by MFSB drummer Earl Young, they were a Philadelphia soul band who had managed to put together a series of hard-driving, good-natured singles ('Trusting Heart', 'Sixty Minute Man') that accidentally found a receptive and enthusiastic audience at discos.
