SIX WEEKS ago, after making his regular tour-guest appearance at an Eric Clapton gig in Wisconsin, Texan blues guitar genius Stevie Ray Vaughan was killed in a helicopter crash en route to his hotel in Chicago. He was 35. Four of Clapton's tour staff died with him; the British star had offered up his seat in the first helicopter to Vaughan, who was in a hurry.
