FROM TWELVE o'clock onwards, an influx of journalists, publicists and assorted ravers were to be seen conglomerated in deepest Soho, preparing themselves with liquid medication for an occasion most rare and beautiful (and likely to go berserk). This was Thursday the first of May and the Who were going to lay it on big at Ronnie's.
