Toots and the Maytals

HE SEEMS overwhelmingly tired, huddled in the corner of the dressing room smoking a chillum. He is dressed like a champ: satin boxing shorts and a matching robe with ankle high white socks and slippers. Freddy "Toots" Hibbert is a long way from home; "Kingston, Jamaica," he says, drawing out the words, making them sound like a song.
