Warren Zevon: Rained out of his home
Wayne Robins, Newsday, 3 March 1978
THIS WINTER has done more than dump masses of snow on the East. It's also made a lie out of Albert Hammond's song 'It Never Rains in Southern California'. Few could have been more concerned about the recent deluge than Warren Zevon, who plays at My Father's Place tomorrow night and at the Bottom Line Monday. The roof of his California home was leaking and the drip was threatening to ruin his Steinway Magnum piano, a possession as dear to Zevon as an Excalibur might be to a more typically car-conscious Southern Californian.
