SID GRIFFIN emerges from the underground tube station at Piccadilly Circus, a long coat over his shoulders, collar up against the chill, and coattails adrift in the wind. He an American expatriate in London–a transplanted eighth-generation Kentuckian–with a guitar case in hand, headed for an album session at Joe's Garage (where the Cranberries did sessions), but he's stopping off to say hello.
