GM: I attended three Dylan shows in your hometown St. Louis in the noughties. Visiting the arch sculpture one day felt weirdly sad, a hopeful symbol of crossing the divide patently ridiculed by the race divide still all too evident in the city. So what happened, more recently, in Ferguson, did not surprise me. Question: Is the St. Louis of now more or less racially divided than the one where you grew up?
