ALTHOUGH LARGELY unrecognized outside the jazz community until recently, Willie Bobo has been one of the prime forces in introducing Latin rhythms and percussion to the pop music world. His bands have featured such luminaries as Chick Corea and Joe Farrell, and it was a version of his 'Evil Ways' that first established Santana on the rock scene.
