IF YOU TEND to wonder if the critics (with the noble exception of Bob Shelton) were right and this double album is the bummer they all say it is, then skip sides one and two and play side three. Though there has been talk of this section being one of the least successful live, it is undoubtedly the most immediately accessible part of the entire work with Alan White's always funky drums supplemented by all manner of other percussion and even what sounds like a synthesizer (or is it electronically 'treated' voices?) played in unison with the drums, if you can imagine such a thing.
