A QUIET revolution is at hand in urban music. Gone is the boasting about the girl you seduced last night and can't remember today. These days, the come-on of choice for rhythm-and-blues singers is a heated whisper. In recent months albums by Tony Rich, D'Angelo, Omar Lye-Fook and now Maxwell have redefined romance in rhythm-and-blues, putting a hip-hop spin on it.
