Jeffrey Morgan

Fatefully born on the same day that '(We’re Gonna) Rock Around The Clock' by Bill Haley & His Comets was released, Jeffrey Morgan is the authorized biographer of Alice Cooper, having written Alice's definitive biography Alcohol and Razor Blades, Poison and Needles: The Glorious Wretched Excess of Alice Cooper, All-American which appears in the critically acclaimed best-selling 1999 Warner Bros. box set The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper.

Mr. Morgan is also the authorized biographer of Iggy Pop & The Stooges, having co-written their definitive biography The Stooges, Yes which appears in the best-selling critically acclaimed 2009 Abrams hardcover book The Stooges: The Authorized and Illustrated Story.

Mr. Morgan has been the Canadian Editor of CREEM ever since Lester Bangs personally invited him to write for the legendary music publication in 1974.

His award-winning newspaper column – the modestly-titled Jeffrey Morgan’s Media Blackout – has appeared weekly in Detroit’s Metro Times since 2004. And as if all that wasn’t enough, Mr. Morgan’s poetry has been published in Rolling Stone and he has written Volume Two of the highly influential graphique noir comic book Mister X, which has been called "one of the greatest comics of the 1980s."
