Julian Henry

Julian Henry

Julian Henry worked as a freelance writer for Melody Maker, Music Week, Underground and NME in the 1980s while launching his career as a musician. A lifelong devotee of pop culture, Henry recorded a sequence of idealistic 7" singles with the singer (and NME journalist) Cath Carroll; his group the Hit Parade has since achieved cult status amongst fans of C86 indie music.

In the 1990s Julian Henry began working in Marketing and Publicity, founding his own business Henry's House. The company grew quickly and amassed brand clients that included Orange, Coca-Cola and Absolut Vodka, as well as TV shows and celebrities that included American Idol, Big Brother, the Spice Girls and Michael Jackson.

In 2007 Julian Henry joined Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment as global Head of Communication. He currently works for 19 in London and Los Angeles and continues to release music with The Hit Parade. He has written more recently for the Guardian and the Observer on Entertainment and Marketing.
