Tim  Oakes
Tim started work with International Musician in 1979, moving to Disco International/ProVideo (under Jerry Gilbert, Editorial Director), before helping launch the ill fated Folk International. Founding Editor of Guitarist in 1982, before going freelance with Kerrang!, Music UK, Sound Engineer etc. Technical Editor of Metal Hammer for four years.

He joined BBC Radio in 1988 as rock presenter on BBC South West for five years, then syndicated rock shows for regional indii stations such as Severn Sound, Horizon Radio etc. Editor for OneWord digital radio 2000 to 2005. Currently Tim is producer/ presenter for Star Radio, and freelance post-production editor for radio and albums.
