R & B LEGEND Andre Williams first achieved acclaim the mid-'50s on Detroit's Fortune Records with classics like 'Bacon Fat' and 'Jail Bait' on which he talked or rapped his lyrics over a tight backup band. After stints with Motown and Chess. Williams eventually faded from the scene after becoming a junkie in the '70s.
