THE YOUNG lady who has probably had more effect on the r&b scene in the U.S.A. than anyone else during the past year, who has always been considered "a singers singer" by the behind-the-scenes record industry personnel, and whose recordings always set new standards continues to stun and amaze her growing legion of British fans – after her phenomenal conquest of the American record buying public. All this despite the fact that she has yet to make a personal appearance in England (the news has just trickled across that her first trip is imminent – and by the time you read this, Aretha may well be en route!).
