Robert Sandall, Daily Telegraph, 4 June 2005
THE YOUNGER ONES recognise him and stop to say hello, but heaven knows what the older visitors make of Billy Corgan as we wander around Tate Modern. Nothing on display is more striking than Corgan. Tall, white-faced and shaven-headed, with a midnight-blue greatcoat buttoned up to the neck and lacy stuff dangling enigmatically from the sleeve, Corgan does gothic better than Hammer Horror.
