Chuck Berry: Streatham Locarno, London
Bill Millar, Soul Music Monthly, April 1967
I WOULD HAVE LIKED to have reviewed Chuck at the Savile Theatre, where initial audience reaction was such that his short-lived performance reached an all-time high. Events there, however, were remarkably similar to those occurring on Chucks first tour at Hammersmith in May 1964, and most subscribers will have read of developments in the national press. (Actually about five rioted and the other 995 stood and watched)
