HORNSEY IS a sleepy working class neighborhood in the northeast of London, far removed from the teeming heart of the city. Not as far away as Muswell Hill, but still it's much the same as the celebrated locale in which the Davies brothers grew up, and which has supplied the environment Ray Davies has often drawn upon when sketching his word-pictures of English life in his Kink-songs.
