Edwin Starr: Tiles, London
Bill Millar, Soul Music Monthly, February 1967
HAVE PITY on the unfortunate rhythm and blues enthusiast for whom the West End of London is the most convenient place to get to; inevitably Tiles is the club at which we must see the majority of visiting American performers and wildly unsuitable it is too. Whilst we are lucky to see them at all and must be grateful for small mercies, the fact that the Flamingo is seldom booking American acts is rather disquieting.
