Ian Hunter: The Outsider
Kris Needs, ZigZag, May 1979
FOR THIS naughty mammal, one of the definite chest-expanding events of recent weeks was the storming resurgence of Ian Hunter, with his first album for two years. You're Never Alone With A Schizophrenic (maybe a misleading – flippant title? I prefer The Outsider, the original working title...), not only reaffirms Hunter as one of the major songwriters of the '70s, but sets him up handsomely to be a major force in the '80s.
