CHARACTERIZING Kevin Ayers as a brilliant musician is like saying Jimmy Page is a nice guitar player – both are fairly accurate conclusions if you have a penchant for understatement. But even though Kevin's been playing along with some of the most talented people known to modern man, he has never been recognized as anything more than a curio by the public at large.
