Linda Ronstadt: Hand Sewn Home Grown
Barbara Charone, Sounds, 4 September 1976
THE FIRST I heard of Linda Ronstadt was on the radio. Not that I knew who owned those strong vocal chords. All I knew was a catchy little tune called 'Different Drum' sung strongly and played like a backing track for a Pepsi Generation commercial by the Stone Poneys. That was back in those heady days of '67 when bands like the Electric Prunes decorated American airwaves.
