STRUCTURALLY, harmonically and lyrically Randy Newman's music little short of an economic miracle, comparing favorably to the late Son of God's number with the loaves and fished. So very much from so very little. Never has that abused adage concerning the inverse relationship between quantity and quality been more appropriate to an artist than to Newman's work in general, and to this album, Live, in particular.
