Raymond Jones, 1958-2011
Daryl Easlea, Record Collector, August 2011
ALTHOUGH A NAME that doesn't readily trip off the tongue, most of RC's readers have danced at some point or another to the understated beauty of Raymond Jones' electric piano, as it graced Sister Sledge's 'We Are Family', Diana Ross' 'Upside Down' as well as Chic's own classics between 1978 and 1982. While Rob Sabino played the piano in the group, Jones' economical Fender Rhodes underpinned many of their greatest sides.
